Plan for Putting Into Practice

Did you update and personalize your inquiry checklist?
  • Think about a lesson you will facilitate at the beginning of the school year that might lend itself to inquiry.
  • Make a copy of this Lesson Planning Scaffold.
    • Place it in your 2017-18 SLP Participant Folder.
  • Begin planning an inquiry learning activity for your classroom.
  • Be sure to incorporate inquiry checklist elements in your plan.

Want to see inquiry in action? The Teaching Channel has a set of inquiry-based learning videos.
Keep in mind that students do not automatically apply appropriate social skills in group situations.
Teachers must identify, model and develop strategies for introducing and reinforcing these skills.
